It’s one of the most breathtaking places on the planet. An expanse of wonderful landscapes stretching endless, wide of green savana, refreshing pine forest, stunning golden sunrise and short distance view of Merapi Volcano.

Mount Merbabu Tour Hiking 2D1N offers you an opportunity to explore Indonesia’s most beautiful National Park.

Located in Central Java Mount Merbabu is an active volcano, last erupted in 1560 and 1797.  Famous with an easy to medium difficulty for hiking activity, travelers need to trek about 5,63 KM to reach the summit. The hiking basecamp stand at 1836m and the highest summit stand at 3,142m, most of the travelers will take about a 5 hours hike.

Accompanied by an expert trekking guide you will hike Mount Merbabu for 2 days one night with camping. All the logistics that are needed and camping equipment will be provided, you just need to prepare your personal stuff.

ITINERARY MOUNT MERBABU TOUR HIKING 2D1N

DAY 1: YOGYAKARTA – MOUNT MERBABU TOUR
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Pick-up in Yogyakarta / Borobudur Area, drive to Mount Merbabu
12:00 PM – 01:00 PM Arrive at Merbabu Hiking Basecamp, have lunch & Preparation
01:00 PM – 05:00 PM Experience fun hiking from hiking basecamp to the campsite at Post V
05:00 PM – 07:00 PM Enjoy the sunset moment and have dinner that prepared by Guide & porter
07:00 PM – 03:30 AM Camp overnight in a tent under the beautiful sky and rest for the next day

DAY 2: MOUNT MERBABU SUMMIT – YOGYAKARTA
03:30 AM – 04:00 AM Early wake up for hot drink (tea/coffee) before trek to summit point
04:00 AM – 05:00 AM Experience morning hike to reach the peak of Mount Merbabu on 3,142m
05:00 AM – 07:00 AM Enjoy the stunning golden sunrise over the cloud then explore summit area
07:00 AM – 09:00 AM Return to the campsite at Post V, having breakfast and packing
09:00 AM – 12:00 PM Descent to the hiking basecamp with the same route as before
02:00 PM – 04:00 PM Drive back to Yogyakarta / Borobudur Area, transfer to hotel. Say Goodbye!
